Led by the University of Notre Dame, the Center for Low Energy Systems Technology (LEAST) explores the physics of new materials and devices to enable more energy-efficient integrated circuits and systems.

Mission

To develop low-voltage and steep subthreshold swing components for beyond-CMOS electronic systems.

Established in 2013, the Center for Low Energy Systems Technology (LEAST) is a microelectronics research center funded by the Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC) and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to support the continued growth and leadership of the U.S. semiconductor industry.

LEAST is led by the University of Notre Dame, with eleven partner universities exploring new concepts for energy-efficient devices to reduce power in electronic systems.
